Today is my due date!! 40 weeks preggo!

I can't believe the time has come. I am 40 weeks pregnant and I have met my due date today, May 2nd. However, Ethan is not ready to come out, unfortunately. He is still very active, moves all the time, and I still have frequent contractions, but nothing severe. I think we all thought I would have already had him by now, and instead I am going over my due date. Dr. Lyons is going to induce me on Tuesday morning. I am very impatient right now and my days are long. The full moon, the weather fronts, eating spicy foods and walking have not thrown me into labor! Very frustrating. BUT I do only have 2 days for sure and no longer! I just wish I could go on my own. But we will get Mr. Ethan out one way or another! LOL Last Wednesday when I went to the doctor I was dilated the same, about 3cm. This has been the longest weekend ever for me. It has rained and flooded in Bowling Green. People might think I'm crazy, but I am still going to work tomorrow because I still feel great and I just want my day tomorrow to go by fast. I have had all weekend at home to rest and get prepared for our baby.

Tuesday, May 4th, is going to be the best day of our lives. We will be so proud and blessed.

Dr. Update and babysitter crisis

I went back to the doctor on Wednesday. I am 2cm dilated and 50% thinned out! Baby Ethan is head down and ready anytime. We think he will still wait until closer to the due date! Can't wait to see our little guy!

Wednesday I got a call from my babysitter, Leigh Ann Cowles. She called to let me know that she has decided to quit babysitting in July. Well, Ethan would have started going to her at the end of July! SO, now I have no one! My friends at the bank have suggested several people but they are all totally booked and can't take anymore new babies. I would prefer to go to someone in Bowling Green and no farther than Chalybeate, since we live in Alvaton. I already have a 20 mile drive in the mornings. I would appreciate anyone's help and suggestions. I would prefer to take him to an individual rather than a daycare, but I will have to do whatever I can. I think all daycares in BG are not accecpting children until Sept/Oct. I will go back to work at the end of July. Please help me. I need to find someone quick so they can reserve a spot for me. Thanks!

37 Weeks Pregnant

I am 37 weeks preggo! I go to the doctor every Wednesday. The past 2 times that I have been there has been no change. I have stayed at 1cm dilated. Maybe I will make it to May 2nd. A lot of people seem to think I will go the last week of April because there is a full moon on the 28th! They might be right! I, myself, think that I will go over my due date by 2 or 3 days! LOL

Here are some pictures of me this past Sunday, Apr. 11th at Shayne's house. I am 37 weeks pregnant! This is the most current picture. I think I am all caught up on my pictures now. I hope everyone enjoys them. Sorry I got so far behind!

Here is Lexi after her hair cut on last Tuesday. We had to get her a summer cut because she will be living with Ron & Shayne for the next little bit after Ethan arrives. Her little bandanna has baby stuff on it, in honor of baby Ethan! So cute! She was OUT OF IT in this picture! It wears her out!
Easter weekend at the Rough River Lodge.

White legs, large ankles, big all over.....it doesn't get much better! LOL!

Trip to Patti's with the bank girls!

My bank BFF's! Leslie, Renee, Lisa, Heather, Megan, Whitney (20 wks preggo), Sandra, and myself (36 weeks preggo)! We all left work together on Friday night and ate at Cheddars before we left for Grand Rivers! We had a lot of fun at the Patti's Inn & Suites! The next day we got up early and went to all of the little shops surrounding Patti's! We had a great get-away!
LOVE PATTI'S! My favorite restaurant! I had the 2in. pork chop, loaded baked potato, house salad, bread with strawberry butter and a RC! DELICIOUS!

I figured I needed my picture with the Easter Bunny since I got one with Santa at Christmas!

That baby bump just keeps growing outward! LOL! (36 weeks)

The rubber ducky cups to match.
The rubber ducky cake from Walmart. I loved everything!

Baby shower #2 (March 28th)

Ethan HAD to have a UK outfit! We want him to get started out right!
My gifts. The rubber duck in the middle of the table is actually a bathtub Ethan will sit in later, but for that day, it served as a card holder.

Rubber ducky plates and napkins.

Shayne put blue food coloring in the water bowls to make it look like the duck was floating in water! Very creative centerpieces!

The Mommy and Daddy-to-be!

Shayne and Pearlie Mae hosted a baby shower for us at the Anneta Fire Department for their family on a Sunday afternoon. It was so cute! The theme was rubber duckies!

March 20th Baby shower

I had so much fun planning our baby shower! I know most people have friends or family to do all of the work, but that was part of the fun to me! I loved planning all of it from the food to the decorations! We got so many gifts and appreciate all of them. I was suprised at how many people came....I think we counted right around 80 at one point. We played a few games, which Sandra was in charge of thank goodness, ate some delicious food and cake, and opened gifts! I hope everyone had a great time. I know we did other than me getting so hot from opening presents! LOL! I won't go into details! I am still working on putting things away and soon it will be a month since my shower!
Love anything monogrammed! This is from Carolyn Thomason & Charlotte Gower.
My mom had this made by a lady in Radcliff. It is shaped like a teddy bear, but with monkey fabric.

Love homemade blankets!

These are the ones that hung around until the end. Bless their hearts!

Blessed with so many wonderful gifts from our family and friends.

I got a gift for my mom and Shayne, the grandparents-to-be. They got a photo album, the grandmother willow tree, and a pencil/paper holder that says something about a grandma.
This is a recordable story book from Hallmark. Ron & Shayne got this for us and their voices are reading the storybook to Ethan. So neat!

Poor Chad just sat there and passed the gifts to me. I don't think baby showers are really a "guy thing!" LOL
I got all kinds of cute monkey outfits and blankets! I can't wait to see Ethan wearing all of his clothes!

I hated to have to cut that cake!

My BFF Sandra! She helped me so much!
This was the sign in table. Notice the beanie on the monkey....that is what Ethan will wear in the hospital when he is born!

My diaper wreath made by Jessica Madison. I will also use this at the hospital and on his nursery room door in our house. I love it!

Sandra's mom, Gloria, made this adorable monkey theme diaper cake for me! She did an awesome job!

The rest of the food, the punch fountain, and the cake.

I love the baby carriage made of fruit!
Loved the food and especially the fruit dip. We had fruits, dip, vegetables w/dip, meat balls, cheese & crackers, and chicken salad.

My Vera Bradley diaper bag!

My monkey balloons!

These are the party favors I made up for the guests. A Hershey's chocolate bar, a jar filled with personalized M&Ms and a bottle filled with banana runt candy.

Baby Shower #1 (March 20th)

My monkey flower arrangements that Brad Mudd made for me. The monkey is actually a waste basket that is supposed to be used in a bathroom! HA! My little clothes line with some clothes I already had for Ethan along with some maternity pictures below!
Jeneane's Catering did my food and cake for me. I was very pleased!!

We had his car seat sitting out for looks because it matched. :))

This was taken before many people got there AND before I started sweating profusely! LOL
